Ely Camargo / Trio Esperança – Taieiras / Não Aguento Você

「Brazil 45’s」シリーズ第18弾がリクエスト多数につき再入荷。Ely Camargoの‘Taieiras’とTrio Esperançaの‘Não Aguento Você’を、初めて7インチ仕様でカップリング。  

A面にはEly Camargoの‘Taieiras’を収録。1972年のアルバム『Cantos Da Minha Gente』に収められた楽曲で、コール＆レスポンスが印象的なブラジル民謡風の一曲。自然と身体が動く中毒性の高いリズムが魅力。Elyは1960年から1983年にかけて12枚のアルバムをリリースしたが、その詳細はあまり知られていない。2012年にはDJ YodaがRoots ManuvaとKid Creole & The Coconutsをフィーチャーした‘U No Likey Like That’でサンプリングしたことでも注目を集めた。  

B面にはTrio Esperançaの‘Não Aguento Você’を収録。リオ出身のヴォーカル・トリオで、Mário、Regina、Evinha Correia José Mariaの3人姉弟によるグループ。Evinhaは‘Esperar Pra Ver’の美しい歌声でも知られ、3人の兄たちはThe Golden Boysとしても活動していた。  

‘Não Aguento Você’は、1971年のセルフタイトル・アルバムに収録された、サイケデリックなムード漂う鮮やかな一曲。Trio Esperançaは1963年から1975年にかけてOdeon Brazilから7枚のアルバムを発表し、そのユニークなサウンドで多くのリスナーを魅了してきた。ブラジリアン・グルーヴを存分に堪能できる贅沢な7インチ。

Back in stock due to popular demand, the 18th release in our signature Brazil 45’s series saw Ely Camargo’s ‘Taieiras’ and ‘Não Aguento Você’ by Trio Esperança issued for the first time on 7”.

First up, ‘Taieiras’ from Ely Camargo’s 1972 album Cantos Da Minha Gente on RCA. An infectious, folk-leaning, call and response number that transports you instantly to Brazil. Although Elys recorded 12 albums between 1960 and 1983, little is known about her. DJ Yoda sampled ‘Taieiras’ in his 2012 track ‘U No Likey Like That’ featuring Roots Manuva and Kid Creole & The Coconuts.

On the B side, ‘Não Aguento Você’ by Trio Esperança. A Rio vocal trio formed by siblings Mário, Regina and Evinha Correia José Maria (the latter of which recorded the stunning classic, ‘Esperar Pra Ver’), whose three older brothers we’re The Golden Boys.

‘Não Aguento Você’ is a sun-kissed, psychedelic stunner, taken from their self-titled 1971 album. The original line up recorded seven albums for Odeon Brazil between 1963 and 1975.
