A面の“Flying Machine”は、1978年の映画『Youngblood』のクライマックスシーンのためにWarが制作した楽曲。重厚なパーカッションと渦巻くフルート、そして多くのアフロ・ハウス作品でサンプリングされた象徴的なドラムブレイクが、ダンサーの熱を引き上げる。ラテンの香り漂うこのジャムが、初めて7インチでリリースされる。
B面の“How Much Are They”は、Jah Wobble、Jaki Liebezeit、Holger Czukayという異色のトリオによる作品。ダブ、ステッパーズ・レゲエ、モーターリックなクラウトロックの狭間に存在するような、奇妙で魅力的なサウンドが展開される。ニューヨークのクラブシーンを彩った2つのクラシックが、リマスターされて最高の音質で蘇る。
