Benedict is a brand new white label that kicks off with a hand-stamped 12". We like that no-frills approach because it suggests a real belief in the music, and that is not misguided in this instance. Whoever Benedict is or are clearly has a love of sultry deep house: 'Something' is all smudged chords and pillowy kicks with a gorgeous r&b vocal loosely trailed through the whole mix. It's got heart and drive in perfect balance. 'Something Else' reworks the same cut with a little more of a kick drum focus - though it lands heavier than the original, the aching soul of the vocal is in no way lost.
