Description
In 1972, the ultimate rare item of British Heavy Psychedelic, which was pressed only two copies in the world! At the moment when the depth of the London underground is revealed, a miracle excavation with the addition of unreleased tracks that no one has ever heard!
Grit is a phantom heavy psychedelic band formed in 1970 in Islington, north London. Having performed live mainly with guitarist Frank "Spider" Martinez, they recorded three demo songs in December 1972, but did not sign a contract with a record company. The band disbanded the following summer, 1973, without releasing any work. Since then, they have long been forgotten, but in 2015, Hans Pokora, a global collector of rare psychedelics, discovered an acetate disc with only two pressed (some say three) at a flea market in Germany. It became a hot topic when it was introduced as the highest rarity ranking of "6" in the book "7001 Record Collector Dreams", commonly known as "Pokora book". After a search by related parties and enthusiasts, Martinez's whereabouts were discovered. This work, which uses his own master tape, finally reveals the whole story! Influenced by Cream, Jimi Hendrix, and John Mayall, Martinez's fuzzy heavy riffs and sharp leads strike, while Jeff Ball's Robert Plant-like shout thunders into the band's extraordinary sound. It shows potential. The aggressively pushing "Shooting Stakes" (M1), and the undulating, progressive development of "Children and Drifters" (M2) are truly the gemstones of British hard rock in the 1970s. This is a powerful masterpiece that should be heard. Furthermore, this work includes a rehearsal sound source of the predecessor band, Merlin. Rea's performances, including a cover of Denmark's Burnin' Red Ivanhoe's "Across the Windsill," are beyond words. ``Grit'' is an indulgence that dives into the deepest layers of British hardness.
A1, shoot the stake
