Description

The masterpiece debut album "Peaceful" released in 1978 by singer Al Johnson, who is also famous as a writer/producer, is reissued for the first time on LP! A true masterpiece full of freshness! !

Al Johnson is a Washington D.C. singer who is best known as the producer of Terry Hough's classic album ``The Lonely One''. He made his debut as the lead singer of Unifix in the 1960s and is also popular for his 1980 album "Back for More" (Columbia) produced by Norman Connors, which was released on a minor label called Marina in 1978. debut album ``Peaceful''. Surprisingly, it was produced by Lloyd Price (+ Nate Adams and Al Johnson himself), a singer who left behind many R&R/R&B classics in the 1950s, and Bernard Purdy (ds). Leo Nocentelli (guitar) of The Meters and others will participate. Furthermore, I am glad that Terry Huff is participating in the chorus. "I've Got My Second Wind" is a very comfortable medium that makes your body sway naturally, the title track "Peaceful" is a soothing ballad, "It's Not Too Late" has a Philly soul feel, and Terry Hough ``I'll Do Anything For You'' is a beautiful ballad with a heartrending chorus, ``Since You Walked Out Of My Life'' is reminiscent of Marvin Gaye's ``What's Going On'', etc., and it's hard to believe that it was produced by a local label. A masterpiece of complete perfection with no throwaway songs!
