Since no title was printed anywhere on the artwork, it came to be called "LP5" in keeping with the later released EP work "EP7".
On this album, he abandons all the warm sounds of his early albums and pursues more of the technical style he began exploring on Chiastic Slide and Cichlisuite EPs. It is well known that Radiohead cites this work as an important work that influenced them to produce the famous album "Kid A". Booth has said that track "Drane 2" is a response to Aphex Twin's "Bucephalus Bouncing Ball," which is said to be an answer to the earlier track "Drane."
