A 7-inch cut of the gem Sweet Lovers, which has never been officially released, from Dennis Bovell's vast master sound source! The cover recording of "Groovin'", which was shelved by popular female singer Marie Pierre, who left the UK Lovers' masterpiece "Love Affair" in 1979, is finally available on vinyl!
Dennis Bovell is a producer, musician, and engineer who cannot be avoided when talking about British reggae. From the master sound source collection owned by Dennis, which P Vine independently compiled under the title "British Reggae Rebirth" in 2008, the unreleased or only dub plate sound source has finally been made into official vinyl! ! We have selected two songs by Marie Pierre, whose album ``Love Affair'' (released on CD by P Vine in 1995) is synonymous with UK lovers rock, which is also popular in the context of free soul! The A-side is a lover's cover of Young Rascals' "Groovin'," a famous song that has been covered by many musicians such as Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin! (Awesome!!) The B-side is a different take of the popular song "Can't Go Through" from the album, with a darker UK street soul/ground beat tone that fans have been drooling over!
