``Live at Knebworth'', a complete recording of Pink Floyd's legendary 1990 Knebworth concert, has been remixed by David Gilmour and Andy Jackson from the original master tapes.
"Live at Knebworth", a complete recording of Pink Floyd's live performance at the legendary Knebworth concert in 1990, will be released on April 30, 2021 on CD, analog (2 discs of 180g heavyweight disc / 45 rpm), The digital version will be released simultaneously worldwide. Three songs from Pink Floyd's live show at Knebworth have been officially announced so far (Knebworth video works at the time include ``Crazy Diamond'' and ``Run Like Hell'', and the CD includes ``Comfortably Numb''). and "Run Like Hell"). This time, all 7 songs played at that time are finally included in the complete recording. Live at Knebworth has been newly remixed by David Gilmour and Andy Jackson from the original master tapes, with album artwork shot by Aubrey “Poe” Powell of Hipgnosis and photographed by Peter of Storm Studios. - New edition designed by Curzon. This unreleased live show was first included in the 2019 'Later Years' box set, but this is the first time it has been released as a standalone album on CD and vinyl. The Knebworth Concert (Silver Clef Award Winners Concert), held on June 30, 1990 at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire, southern England, was a collaboration between Nordoff Robbins, a British charity organization that provides music therapy to young people. This charity concert was hosted by Nordoff Robbins and featured the winners of the Silver Clef Award, which is given to honor contributions to the British music world.In addition to Pink Floyd, this year's charity concert featured performances by Paul McCartney, Featuring rock legends such as Dire Straits, Genesis, Phil Collins, Mark Knopfler, Robert Plant (and Jimmy Page), Cliff Richard, Eric Clapton, and Tears for Fears. Pink Floyd was the headliner, and it was the final show of their ``Depression'' tour. The proceeds from this concert, which attracted approximately 120,000 people, were donated to the establishment of the BRIT School (a school established by the British government in 1991 for performance arts and media education), and the concert was broadcast by MTV at the time. It was broadcast all over the world.
The touring band of Pink Floyd (David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Richard Wright) consisted of Guy Pratt (B), John Carin (Key), Tim Renwick (G), Gary Wallis (Per), Darga McBroom on backing vocals, Sam Brown and her mother Vicki, and Clare Tory, vocalist on the original version of "Scat in the Void." Guest musicians include saxophonist Candy Dulfer and keyboardist and composer Michael Kamen.
