Funkadelic's fifth album, released in 1973. Initially, the P-Funk group led by George Clinton released many songs with strong political themes, but as their live performances became more flashy and members changed, they began to adopt a cosmic ideology. ...The first Cosmic P-Funk World album. Although the album was initially well received, it was a commercial failure. In later years, the band's reputation skyrocketed, and even now, ``Cosmic Slop'' is still performed live as a lively song. This album was also the first to use Pedro Bell for the jacket artwork, and from then on, Pedro's paintings continued to be used on the jacket until the group disbanded.
