Description
On the eve of YMO, Haruomi Hosono's 5th solo work (released in 1978), created with Tadanori Yokoo, has finally been officially reissued as its popularity increases not only in Japan but also overseas! This work, inspired by his travels in India, was sketched with electronic sounds along with Ryuichi Sakamoto, Hideki Matsutake, and others, and is also linked to the later sound of YMO (Yellow Magic Orchestra). The A-side, titled "Hotel Malabar" where he was staying at the time, is a psychedelic inner trip side that develops experimentally from the unsettling sine wave. The B-side, on the other hand, is a pre-techno side that perfectly matches his taste cultivated through the ``Tropical Trilogy'' and the electro beats common to his ``YEN'' and ``NON-STANDARD'' works. An early masterpiece that stimulates the sense of hearing with its elaborate sound design, such as the celebratory exo beatdown B2 "HUM GHAR SAJAN," and the sense of sight with artwork that highlights Tadanori Yokoo's mental images.
