Description
I had no idea that Ryo Fukui had left behind such a sound source. This is a completely unreleased live sound source recorded on June 8, 1977. The recording was done at Sapporo's live house <Vidoro> by Masataka Ito, the producer of Fukui's ``Scenery'' and ``Mellow Dream.'' It is exactly the performance of the Fukui Trio from that period, but at the same time, it has an overwhelming energy and freshness that is not found in studio recordings, and it is nothing short of exciting. Needless to say, the vivid 16-minute "Mellow Dream" includes the dynamic "Speak Low," the lustrous "Body & Soul," the galloping "Love For Sale," and the profound "Mr. PC." , "My Foolish Heart" is a spectacular performance that makes you feel like you're in a fever. At that time, the sound source excerpted from this live was recognized by Trio Records headquarters, and the production of the second album "Mellow Dream" was carried out. It is a valuable sound source in every sense of the word. Yusuke Ogawa (UNIVERSOUNDS/Deep Jazz Reality)
