Mieko Shimizu's 2nd album, a masterpiece of Japanese Balearic/New Wave album, has been made into analog for the first time in the world! Mieko Shimizu, the younger sister of Yasuaki Shimizu, is also known for her collaboration on the internationally popular masterpiece "DEMENTOS." The 1990 release "Kai no Michi", which was full of elements of the world music that was beginning to become popular at the time, is finally being made into an LP.
From the late 80's to the present, Mieko Shimizu has been active in multiple fields, including releases under the name of Apache 61 on Haruomi Hosono's label "daisyworld discs" and participation in solo works by Mick Karn and Masami Tsuchiya. After moving to England in 1987, Dominique Breathes, an up-and-coming producer at the time who worked on Depeche Mode, welcomed the latest technology and musicians such as Gavin Harrison and Chris Cutler. Yasuaki Shimizu also participates in this ambitious work that pursues a new age of dance music. Exotic dance A3 "Indian Afternoon" with Middle Eastern beats, solid tone of trumpet and chorus work. B1 "Ao no Hito" and B2 "Momo" featuring the saxophone of his older brother Yasuaki. Includes a total of 9 songs, including B4 "Nagisa no Futari" with a mysterious Afro percussion looped chorus. This is the best piece full of stateless exoticism that skillfully digests the trends of the times!
