Description

"Light Speedway", a monumental masterpiece of the city pop boom that became a hot topic when it was made into 7 inches for the first time on Record Store Day in 2014. A new edition featuring subtropical reggae disco rework by DJ Bossa★Da + HF International! Formed in 1976 by the Nihon University College of Art Folk Song Club, student band so nice performed covers of Sugar Babe and Tatsuro Yamashita. In 1979, only 200 albums were independently produced to commemorate his graduation, "LOVE", which was discovered by fans of Tatsuro Yamashita and Japanese DJs, and was suddenly brought into the spotlight due to its rarity and splendid content. And in 2014, the song "Light Speedway" recorded in the album was cut into 7 inches and sold out immediately. The same single, which had already become a collector's item, is now available as a new version with a rework coupled to the B-side. The original of Young City Pop's highest peak "Light Speedway", which has an impressive fresh vocal that determined their popularity, needs no explanation anymore, and the new version is recorded at 45 rpm. What I would like you to pay attention to is the B-side that DJ BossaDa, who was involved in the discovery and reissue of "LOVE", collaborated with HF International, the popular mellow breakbeat unit consisting of Katsunori Hiraiwa and Yuki Fukuda! Katsuyuki Kamakura, the leader of so nice, re-recorded for this rework. Based on that sound source, arranged into reggae disco led by funky cutting guitar and bass line. It's an absolute masterpiece that combines the goodness of the original with the groove that today's dance floor demands. Hisashi Eguchi is in charge of the jacket, following the previous work, and reworked the illustration of 'Light Speedway' in 2014!
