Description
While working on songwriting/producing for Betty Wright, Sam & Dave, Bobby Byrd, Gwen McRae, KC & The Sunshine Band, etc., he left many famous songs such as "Nobody But You Babe" under his own name. A key figure in the history of soul/funk, Clarence Reed, who contributed greatly to the development of the world's dance music scene. ``Rockin' Chair'' was released by Gwen McRae after the great success of ``Rock Your Baby'', a number synonymous with disco, and won a big hit as well. A self-cover by Clarence Reid, who composed and produced the song, on the A-side (original 1974 Dash). Funkness beyond Gwen McRae's inevitable funkness for funk DJs/collectors! Hidden in Gwen McRae's record-breaking hits, the original edition is highly priced on the second-hand market as an obscure and rare piece. On the B-side, Daisuke Kuroda and Kenny Dope also picked up the killer funk tune "Till I Get My Share" (original 1972 Glades), a double cider specification!
