Description
"It's too cool to say I ran away from England because the taxes were so high," Mick Jagger quipped in the 2010 documentary "Stones in Exile." He said so badly. But it is true that the members, especially Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, emigrated to France and recorded this album over a period of two years in the basement of Keith's Villefranche house. Like the previous work "Sticky Fingers", among the songs devoted to bluesy and dry southern soul, there are hard sounds such as "Rocks Off", later Aero Smith such as "Happy" sung by Keith, and others. It was after this album that he established a performance that also influenced the style of HR/HM.
