Description
Since the 1970s, Makoto Kubota has produced many works as a unit Harry & Mac with Haruomi Hosono, Larry's Naked, Yuyake Gakudan, The Sunsetz, and Haruomi Hosono. In recent years, he has been energetically active in rediscovering and introducing ondo from various regions of Japan as world music and dance music, remixing Shiga's traditional Koshu Ondo. The singing by Yuriko Sakuragawa, head of the mainstream Sakuragawa family, already has a chant-like groove at the time of the original, but the three remixes with the essence and beat of dance music add a bold and wonderful finish. The CD released in 2012 was out of print, so it's a nice analog version!
