[RECORD STORE DAY limited item] "We Are Ninja" was a minor hit that reached number 9 on NME magazine's indie chart in 1983, but after repeated reappraisals, it became an immortal cult rare groove. New 7 inch release with "Cheeba Cheeba Chimpira" as a coupling! Frank Chickens is a British-based Japanese women's group formed around Kazuko Hoki, and also included Atsuko Kamura from the Polka Dot Fire Brigade. ``We Are Ninja'' is an old school electro tune with a cool fat synth bass and the phrase ``You're a ninja too~'' that never leaves your ears. It is a number that had a tremendous impact, and is unlikely to have been sung in Japanese so freely in the history of UK pop music. Later, Denki Groove sampled it in the early days of their activities, and a remix album in which Yasuhi Konishi also participated was planned by Ninja Tune, and in recent years, reedits and sampling works of which it is unclear whether they are official or unofficial have continued to be produced. It's an underground dance floor classic. The coupling song "Cheeba Cheeba Chimpira" is a song from the first album "We Are Frank Chickens" like the A side, and it is a number with a strong Japanese usage and a strong 80s electro sound.
