From the Japanese classic compilation "Wamono A to Z presents GROOVY Japanese SUMMIT Columbia" supervised by Yoshizawa dynamite.jp and DJ CHINTAM (BLOW UP) released in December 2018, 7 Japanese classics by Hatsumi Shibata. Inch cut! "Purple Shadow" on side A is a superb disco boogie tune recorded on the 10th album "Retouch" released in 1982. A futuristic synth, bouncing slaps, snares and hi-hats that fill the space, this is a killer tune with outstanding destructive power that heats up the floor! A masterpiece that seems to have updated her representative song "Singer Lady" to the 80's sound! On the B-side, DJ CHINTAM (BLOW UP) re-edited version of "Latin Night" from 1985's "Voices" produced by Joe Hisaishi is included! Added the instrumental part of the introduction, and strengthened the bass and beat more three-dimensionally. It is a wonderful re-edit that amplifies the overall groove and specializes in floor use, while at the same time bringing out the charm of the tight and gorgeous original song even more!
