Description
The Highlife label, whose first release by Ricardo Villalobos' favorite Auntie Flo was also very popular, was a complete departure from the highlife re-edit from Ghana, and this work took Turkey by storm in the 60s and 70s. Psychedelic music = Anadolu rock guru Cem Karaca's "Raptiye Rap Rap" re-edited by Switzerland-based Mehmet Aslan! A killer tool that includes two ethnic house songs that have a huge impact on the floor with singing voices and ethnic instruments that you don't often hear!

New in the Highlife series are two fresh gems from Basel in Switzerland. Introducing a Turkish toe tapper by Mehmet Arslan and a tropical treat from Alma Negra, both associated with the excellent Hinterhof venue in the city.
A. Mehmet Aslan - Raptiye Rap
B. Alma Negra - Carnaval
