Description
Mano Arriba, a full-fledged Latin/salsa project by trumpeter/percussionist Hidero Nishioka and bassist/music producer Kenichi Ikeda (ROOT SOUL), will release a new album after a long absence! Stay This Way feat. N'Dea Davenport and You Can Make It feat. Tasita D'Mour, which attracted attention as a 12-inch work on Especial Records in 2009, will be released as a coupling from KAWASAKI RECORDS! !
The concept of this album was proposed by Shuya Okino (Kyoto Jazz Massive/ Kyoto Jazz Sextet), and Mano Arriba produced the music. In addition, DJ KAWASAKI, who is also the organizer of the label, is working on Edit as a version only for 7'Vinyl. The A-side is a new song covering Stay This Way, an early hit of Acid Jazz and UK Soul king Brand New Heavies, with a Latin/salsa arrangement. The B-side includes a cover of one of DJ KAWASAKI's representative songs, You Can Make It, which was released from Especial Records in 2009 and became THE ROOM Classics. Surprisingly, it is a "new recording" featuring N'Dea Davenport, who is both the vocalist of the original version, and Tasita D'Mour herself. Finished. Brand New Heavies fans can't get enough of this famous song, and the most requested song from THE ROOM Classics has been made into 7'Vinyl for the first time! Cuban sun Mano Arriba stirs up this summer. A powerful item that won't stop anyone's step!
